Stop Cracked Heels Starting Today

Having ugly and problematic skin on the feet is synonymous to a person with no proper skin care routine. Don't wait until you are already suffering from cracked heels or a nasty athlete's foot before you make a move and start taking care of your feet. Skin care for the feet is a very easy task and simply involves regular exfoliating and moisturizing. Of course if you have already developed a skin care problem, you will need to do more than these things but doing these routines can definitely lessen your chances of having skin problems on your feet.
For starters, one of the basic practices you have to do for your toes is to exfoliate them at least once every two weeks. Just like our face, the skin cells on our feet also need to be shed off so that new and healthier skin can grow on the surface. Though some of the dead skin cells fall off on their own, the majority of them remains on our skin layer and won't go away without our help. Not catering to this skin care problem will cause the dead skin cells to pile up on the surface and lead to calluses which can then cause the very painful cracked heels. And though cracked heels are very far from being fatal, they can inconvenience you a lot because you will not be able to properly use your feet and therefore go about your regular activities.
You don't also need to go to a foot care or skin care clinic just to have your skin exfoliated because you can easily do this on your own. Just buy a good quality exfoliating foot cream and do the deed at your own home.
Moisturizing is also a very important part of preventing cracked heels. This problem can also be a result of overly dry skin so you can easily prevent it by using a moisturizer every day. When choosing a moisturizing foot cream, select one with an ingredient like shea butter that besides from simply moisturizing the skin, also helps in boosting the normal moisture production to better hydrate the epidermis.
